KIDS

At New Day, we love our kids! We offer children’s ministry for ages birth through fifth grade during all our weekend services at all campuses. Every child in our ministry is taught, led, and discipled in an age-appropriate environment. Everything we plan and do in our children’s ministry is setting up children and parents to be spiritual champions. Our mission is to make disciples who make disciples.

LILS (BIRTH - PRESCHOOL)
LILS (BIRTH - PRESCHOOL)

During the service, your child(ren) will experience fun learning activities, play time with others who are his or her age and will receive focused care and attention from our loving leaders. Rooms are divided by age to meet the developmental needs of every child and to provide a safe and playful environment to learn about Jesus.

Your elementary aged child(ren) will experience energetic and interactive worship, engage in games and activities with new friends, and have focused time with loving leaders who make sure every child knows they are important and loved by God. Your child(ren) will have a blast and learn about Jesus in a way that connects with them on their level.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You may have questions about what to expect here at New Day. Here are a few topics we hope will help answer some frequently asked questions:

CHILDREN'S CHECK-IN

When you arrive to the NextGen check-in area there are loving and trained leaders that are available to help you check in.

You and your child will receive a check-in tag specifically created for your child. To ensure their security, your child will not be released without presentation of your corresponding tag.

WELL-CHILD POLICY

We strive to have our environment a healthy one.

For the safety of the children in our ministry, we ask that kids stay with their parents if they have an excessively runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less) fever, rash persistent cough, diarrhea, or any other signs of illness. We request that you not place your child in the program while they are at risk of exposing other children.

Thank you in advance for helping us keep our NextGen environment a healthy place.

FINDING CHILDREN'S AREA

When you enter our campus, there are NextGen signs to lead you in the direction of the children’s area.

Greeters are also available at each entry door to help you find your way.

Port Charlotte Campus: There is a family parking area in the grass parking lot on the north side of the building which will lead you to the NextGen check-in area.

CHILDREN'S CURRICULUM

At New Day, we offer curriculum that is biblically sound, engaging, and is taught in a fun and age-appropriate environment.

You may find that what your kids bring home and tell you about sounds familiar. Every lesson in our children’s ministry mirrors the sermons and what is presented in the main auditorium in a developmentally appropriate way.

Our goal is to empower our parents to be able to take the conversation a step further at home with the kids since they have just had a similar teaching on the same subject as the kids.

SECURITY

Your child’s security is important to us.

In order to pick up your child you will need to present your child’s matching tag, which you will receive when you check in. If you lose your child’s corresponding tag, you will need to present identification at the welcome desk to receive a duplicate tag in order to receive your child.

Our secure children’s wing has multiple rooms for different age groups. Your child will be in an age-appropriate environment with at least two screened and trained leaders.

SPECIAL NEEDS

The Bridge ministry is a small environment for our friends with unique physical, behavioral, and emotional needs to support your child.

Please see the welcome desk for more details and service times.
